This past weekend I got to attend a healthcare conference and do a presentation on meditation. It was rightly labeled as healthcare meets burning man as there were fire dancers, camping and the over all energy was one of strength, unity and action. The event was called Cinderblocks with the hashtag #Cinderblocks2 During the first day of the event, I was blessed and honored to do a speech on how meditation can be used in everyday life for health purposes.
The talk was done in front of doctors, patients, healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical representatives. It was focused to the practice of mindfulness meditation and some of the benefits that come along with it. I was filled with joy as one of them actually came up and said how excited he was to begin using it as a daily practice, or discipline as he liked to say.
The event was spearheaded by an amazing healthcare advocate who has been called the “Rosa Parks of healthcare”. Her name is Regina Holliday (@ReginaHolliday on Twitter).
Without any further ado, please enjoy this presentation! If you like what you hear and want to start getting into a meditation practice, but don’t know where to start, schedule a session with me and I can help you!
